Southside Community Services Board is an agency of local government providing mental health, mental retardation and substance abuse services to the residents of Halifax, Brunswick and Mecklenburg Counties.
Funding for services provided through the Board comes from the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Federal Government, local governments and from fees collected from third party payors and service consumers.
All consumers receiving services shall be charged the full fee for services rendered and be responsible for all balances.
Consumers with third party coverage shall be responsible for the differences between the total cost of services provided and actual third-party reimbursement.
Payment towards charges will be based on individual circumstances, whereupon a
sliding scale will determine payment for services.
No individual will be denied services due solely to
a demonstrated inability to pay.
