Emergency Services
Crisis intervention is available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, providing evaluation and assessment of individuals in need of emergency services. This service includes screening individuals for admission to a psychiatric hospital (private and state-operated) on a voluntary and involuntary basis. Service is available in all three Southside Behavioral Health Centers.
Outpatient Services
Treatment staff consists of a psychiatrist, therapist, nurse and case manager in each behavioral health center. They provide comprehensive assessment and evaluation of an individual's mental health needs, conduct therapy sessions, prescribe medications when necessary and offer case management assistance in accessing community resources.
Case Management Services
Consumers may be assigned a case manager upon request, who monitors services needed and develops an individual service plan.
Mental health case managers provide ongoing assessments of consumers, refer and link them to needed services and oversee the continuity of services provided for the consumers.
Case managers also provide discharge planning and referral coordination for aftercare and follow-up services.
