CHILDREN SERVICES COORDINATOR Position
No. 0362 Southside
Community Services Board (SCSB) seeks qualified individual for its
Infant & Toddler Connection Program for Halifax/Mecklenburg
Counties, based in Boydton, Virginia. Incumbent in this grant-funded
program is responsible for all aspects of program including
administrative and clinical supervision in conducting early
intervention/educational services to developmentally delayed
infants/toddlers. Direct
treatment services supervision includes individual, group and family
therapy; developmental assessments; diagnostic services; and crisis
intervention. Monitors compliance with Federal Part C requirements for
Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs); and ensures program operates
within budget and records are maintained in accordance with Medicaid,
DBHDS, Licensure and Federal Part C regulatory standards.
Maintains active contact with referral sources and coordinates
services with private OT/PT/speech therapy providers.
Bachelor’s
degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Human Services
related field, or any discipline listed under Part C Personnel Standards
(Master’s preferred) or RN with three years related experience and one
year supervisory experience required.
Must be Virginia Certified in Early Intervention and Licensure
appropriate as detailed in the Infant and Toddler Connection Practice
Manual, have experience in facilitating meetings, and possess excellent
fiscal management and documentation skills. Valid driver’s license
with safe driving record required as are criminal history check
(fingerprinting) and drug test and ability to maintain strict
confidentiality. Starting
salary $44,143. Excellent

Community Services Board (SCSB) has full-time vacancy in its Day Support
Program, Mental Health Services Division,
in South Boston, Virginia, to provide direct services for the
mentally disabled. Incumbent
provides individual and group instruction in areas of prevocational,
social, interpersonal and independent living skills; supervises
work/educational units; develops/implements individual service plans;
assesses/monitors consumer progress and medication to ensure compliance;
follows prescribed strategies for psychosocial rehabilitation; maintains
accurate documentation as required to meet state licensing regulations;
and transports consumers as assigned. Associate’s
Degree in a human services field as well as one year experience
providing direct care services to mentally ill individuals required.
Must maintain strict confidentiality and have, or be trained
after hire for, all mandated trainings, possess effective
documentation/communication skills and valid driver’s license with
safe driving record. Criminal
record check (fingerprinting) and drug test required. Starting

MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
SPECIALIST No:
00103 Southside
Community Services Board (SCSB) seeks individual for its Behavioral
Health Services Division to provide supportive, training services to the
mentally disabled in Mecklenburg County (position based in South Hill,
VA). Develops service
plans, coordinating and facilitating utilization of available community
resources to ensure consumers maintain community stability and
integration; provides
in-home training in daily living skills including food preparation,
hygiene, problem-solving, communication and financial management to
maximize independent skills. Performs
assessments and pre-admission/pre-discharge planning; maintains required
casework documentation to comply with all regulatory guidelines; and
works cooperatively with designated case managers. Provides transportation and must be able to occasionally work
some evenings, weekends to accommodate consumers’ needs. Bachelor’s
degree in a human services field with a minimum of one year experience
providing direct care to the mentally disabled required.
Must possess knowledge of mental illness, assessment/training
techniques, treatment planning, community resources utilization, and
crisis intervention for designated population. Must maintain strict
confidentiality, possess effective documentation/communication skills
and valid driver’s license with safe driving record. Criminal history check (fingerprinting) and drug test
required. Minimum
